ABOUT THE CREATOR PARTNERSHIPS TEAM:

As the heart and soul of the Whalar ecosystem the creator partnerships team are at the zeitgeist of creator talent. With ears on the ground, we  are information synthesizers within the creator economy online, offline, and in the places people didn’t think of. No matter the platform, historic or emerging we will mine, and refine the best talent to eternally enhance the platform, and present them to brands. 

We will be the voice of the Creator community within Whalar and the voice of Whalar within the Creator community.

Keeping in mind that we ensure DEI in every capacity from opportunities and pay, to keeping humanity and heart throughout the experience. They will be the voice of the Creator community within Whalar and the voice of Whalar within the Creator community.

The successful Manager candidate will:

  • Have 4-5+ years’ agency or brand experience, including team management
  • Have strong detail-oriented communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable organization, project and  time management skills
  • Desire to  lead a team of lateral thinkers.
  • Have a solid understanding of the social media advertising ecosystem and an insatiable appetite for learning about creators, the creator economy, platforms, and their product offerings.  
  • Thrive in an environment where collaboration, flexibility and scrappiness are valued more than job titles, rigid structure and legacy ways of working
  • Networking aptitude
  • Be a curious self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and a proactive, can do attitude
  • Identify and implement processes to drive efficiencies and best in class work.
  • Experience working with all levels of influencers from micro to celebrity
  • Keen eye for finding creators for all verticals from niche to celebrity.
  • Energetic and proactive problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas and change course as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As with any growth business, roles and responsibilities will evolve and here’s a rundown of expectations as they stand today:

  • Manage and develop one to two Creator Partnerships Executives.

 

  • Project manage, organize and direct the day-to-day operations of creator partnership sourcing, talent outreach, and  platform accuracy while keeping in mind that with any start-up business, roles and responsibilities will evolve but here's a rundown of expectations as they stand today.

 

  • Platform Enhancement:  Providing insights to management on how to continue the development of the ECHO platform, and to ensure all tags, bios, and general searchability of all creators is up to date, and reflects the diversity benchmarks of the brand. Working closely with our Product and Development teams to ensure proper representation in all aspects. Passing along key feedback on ECHO experiences both good and bad.  

 

  • Agency & Manager Relations: Scheduling and executing calls and emails with talent management, building strong relationships with them, understanding their needs and concerns and translating them into solutions. Connecting creator teams to proper internal Whalar teams for assistance if needed. Creator Partnerships is the bridge between agencies and the interior of Whalar as we are the self branded “relationship keyholders”.  

 

  • Influencer Relations: Become an authority of the Creator economy, and identify creator trends and opportunities . Source creators, successfully onboard them, and build strong relationships with Creators. Keeping in touch and intune with their needs and hopes for future Whalar partnerships. Always receiving feedback and taking the information to the proper channels to ensure improvement. Working closely with our Product team, specifically Platform concierge, to handle onboarding troubleshooting and Client Services for post sale execution. 

 

  • Creative inspiration: Aide in the preparation, enhancement, and/or  modification of creator slides for pre-sale. Working closely with our Design team to create visually appealing pitch decks that accurately represent creators to brands. As a Creator Exec you will not only be creatively sourcing creators for slide decks but also creating talent bios that will give brand’s insight and reason to why this talent was selected for consideration.
