Cybersecurity Architect

Responsibilities

• Design, build and implement enterprise-class security systems for the Company.
• Align standards, frameworks, and security with overall business and technology strategy.
• Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats.
• Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge.
• Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.
• Act as a solutions-focused business partner to our Engineering, DevOps, IT, and Security teams.
• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
• Plan, research, and design robust security architectures for any related IT projects.
• Perform or supervise vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
• Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cybersecurity requirements.
• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
• Regularly communicate vital information, security needs, and priorities to upper management.

Key Requirements

• BS level technical degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Highly technical and analytical, possessing 15+ years of IT implementation experience.
• 5+ years experience in IT security, compliance, and risk management, including privacy, controls, etc.
• 5+ years experience in cloud security, cloud compliance, and security risks.
• Experience building enterprise security strategy for cloud adoption or driving the program's evolution to meet new requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to lead effectively across organizations.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multifaceted environment.
• Hands-on technical expertise in Security Architecture, automation, integration, and deployment (DevOps).
• True passion for making a real impact.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience and knowledge in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience and knowledge in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Extensive experience in information security and IT risk management focused on security, performance, and reliability.
• Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
• Proven experience building security reference architecture for all-in cloud deployments and hybrid scenarios.
• Technical expertise in scripting and query languages (Kusto, Python, RoR, etc.).
• Extensive experience in security monitoring tools, security controls, and forensics.
• Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions.
• Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions such as WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, and SIEM.
• Strong business mindset with the ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures.
• Deep understanding of enterprise risk management methods and techniques to drive successful outcomes in a multinational environment.
• Working knowledge of cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
• An understanding of the ISO 27001 and other compliance and standard frameworks.
