To empower scientists and radically improve how science is published, evaluated and disseminated to researchers, innovators and the public, we have built our own state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence Review Assistant (AIRA).
The Role
We are now looking for a Data Analyst with a focus on descriptive analytics to join our AI Products Team and help us evolve AIRA.
As a Data Analyst, you will perform analysis on large and diverse datasets and create beautiful visualizations to provide relevant insights for product managers and business stakeholders. Your passion for data visualization and analysis will be critical to your success in helping our team continually deliver new and innovative analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a strong understanding of the publishing landscape in order to actively contribute to the evolution of our Artificial Intelligence Review Assistant (AIRA)
- Design, develop, and maintain reporting dashboards based on end-user specifications
- Extract insights and actionable recommendations in order to draw conclusions and support decision making and key strategic initiatives
- Analyze complex data to determine correlations and data integrity issues
- Work together with product managers, data scientists and business stakeholders to understand and support their needs
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvements in data quality, data visualization and data reporting for AIRA
About you
- Experience with data visualization and graphics tools such as Tableau for the creation of reports and dashboards
- Extensive experience with SQL, including the ability to clean, extract and manipulate data, and related tools (SSMS, Visual Studio)
- Experience with big data platforms (e.g. Spark, Databricks) is a plus
- Experience with statistical modeling techniques (e.g. linear regression, logistic regression, GLM), forecasting and predictive modelling is a plus
- Working knowledge of one or more statistical programming languages (e.g. SAS, Python, or R) is a plus
- Robust analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem solving skills
- Accustomed to fast-paced environments with simultaneous, high-priority tasks
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences (fluency in English is a must)
