Data Analyst
The role
Key member of the organisation providing support across various departments including but not limited to Sales, Customer Success, Operations and Finance.
This role requires an analytical mind and structured approach to problem solving, with the ability to use various reporting tools and systems to extract, interrogate and manipulate data with the result of providing meaningful, accurate and reliable output which are delivered in a timely manner and can be easily understood by a wider audience.
Problem solver, accuracy, integrity, and professionalism are all traits that the post-holder must possess to fully deliver on this role as it requires the person to handle and make sense of high volumes of data, some of which is sensitive and confidential, so discretion is also an important attribute. Proficiency in SQL and Power BI is a must – these are core to data we are working with and will be fundamentals on which we can enhance your skills.
You will also need to work under your own initiative with a curious mind so that you can find solutions or improve processes independently. However, there is a large amount of collaboration required in this role; not only with your internal customers i.e., colleagues, but also with your peers and stakeholders whom you will need to work with on specific projects. This collaboration will help bring context to the data and greater insights into the inner workings of the complex healthcare markets that we operate across.
You will report into the Director of Business Optimisation but will be required to work closely with other Data Analysts and align to standardised team data and working practices that will have been signed off and agreed by the Director.
Your base will be Bracknell although it is expected that flexibility on home working will continue for some time, with some travel to other HealthHero sites for internal meetings or collaboration, as required.
Key Responsibilities
- A key requirement across the team is to use operational data insights to identify opportunities for business efficiencies/automation as feedback for the Development & Product teams as well as Service Delivery functions, specifically around productivity improvements and process optimisation.
- Adopting standardised data handling processes within team - it is important that we implement and maintain strong and consistent practises around the handling of data. You will be expected to align to these requirements and work methodically in this endeavor.
- Ensuring that data requests, whether BAU or new requirements, have a clear problem statement, a documented SoW and prioritisation, to be agreed with key stakeholders and signed off by Director of Business Optimisation.
- Internal/Board reporting on product usage, business performance, capacity vs demand and data to help with clinical queries – regular and ad-hoc. Depending on the type of report/data required, this will involve combining data from multiple sources and presenting in a way that it easy for wider colleagues to understand and work with.
- Developing and maintaining automated reporting suite across enterprise analytics – including, but not limited to; Client MI, SLA & KPIs, “cost to serve” metrics, productivity measurement, capacity vs demand measures and forecasting reports.
- Understand the basic principles of Data Engineering to ensure alignment between activities and timelines to always guarantee operability of Data Analytics function.
- Using initiative and being proactive – your familiarity with the data sets will build and as it does, we would encourage creativity to extract deeper meaning and connections within the data to help improve our processes, identify opportunities for improvement or deliver greater value for our clients and patients.
- Data should be produced in a timely manner - it is important that stakeholder expectations are managed once SoW is defined in terms of delivery timeline and relative prioritisation against other tasks.
