As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be part of one of our financial customer teams. A self-steering team in charge of creating a data platform to enable reporting across business units. We aim to create a clear strategy for data transformation, to give our customer insights into their data.  

You will have the opportunity to work in an innovative highly skilled environment, where you will be involved in the data strategy of the customer by developing a data platform that will be used to create various use cases for our customer users of data. You will architect and build around data lake in an AWS environment and participate in a Teradata migration to the public cloud.

What will you be working on? 

  • Designing, building and running data lakes in AWS. 
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines (e.g. S3, Lambda's, Glue, etc) 
  • Configuring and managing tools like Spark, Glue, Kinesis, S3, Lambda, Kafka, Redshift, Athena, EventHub, etc.  
  • Supporting tooling such as Gitlab (CI/CD), Terraform (Infra)
  • Develop and maintain SQL code. 

What will make you successful in this role? 

  • Experience building data pipelines in a cloud-native manner (e.g. S3, Lambda's, Glue, etc) 
  • Used to working with large data sets in both data lakes (S3) & data warehouses (Redshift)  
  • Good AWS knowledge, especially all the data-related services 
  • Experienced with Python & data library ecosystem
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Being a T-shaped data engineer, strongly skilled in one domain and broad working knowledge in multiple areas
