Data Quality Engineer (m/f/x) - Berlin / Munich

The candidate will play a critical role in the development of Marketing and Sales Data Governance Policies, Data Enrichment and Quality Assurance processes, Analytics and Automations. The goal is to turn all of this data into a Strategic asset, further enhancing commercetools’ Go-To-Market strategy.

The position involves working with structured and unstructured real-world data, requiring a candidate who is comfortable thinking independently about solving business problems. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, have the ability to work with limited supervision, and must be comfortable in an environment of changing priorities.

About your new role:

  • Documentation, advice and continuous improvement of processes relating to customer data.
  • Conception and introduction of new processes and features to optimize customer data quality (data completion, validation, enrichment).
  • Automation of data quality checks and procedures (DQ measurement points and metrics) and derivation of requirements for aligning processes and systems with optimal data quality.
  • Analysis of the causes of data quality problems in exchange with the departments concerned as well as cooperation in determining and complying with data-related guidelines (data definitions, origin and quality rules).
  • Supervision and guidance of our external data qualification team.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Successfully completed degree/further education in the field of Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar.
  • At least 2+ years of professional experience in master data, content, reference and customer data management.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
