Data Reconciliation Officer

TLDR

Perform detailed data reconciliation across internal records and financial statements to ensure accuracy, improve data quality, and support data control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed data reconciliation between internal records, financial statements, and external data sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies and inconsistencies in financial and operational data.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation processes, findings, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operations teams to improve data quality and streamline reconciliation procedures.
  • Prepare reports summarizing reconciliation results and escalate issues as necessary to management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data control policies and frameworks to ensure ongoing data integrity.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to data reconciliation and financial controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in data reconciliation, accounting, finance, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP software.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and problem-solve effectively.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
