Data Scientist for Predictive Modeling

We are a Bend, Oregon startup looking for a smart analytical professional to work on contracted projects involving the building of prediction models for sales and marketing outcomes including revenue and recommendations.  

What We Are Doing:

The first project will support predicting revenue early in a prospects engagement with the client company so that sales and marketing can prioritize high-value leads. We envision deploying the predictive model behind an API in order to score leads in near real-time as they enter the business.  

We are moving quickly and would like you to start immediately so please provide an indication of your availability along with your experience.  

Projects can be done on your own hours and time and can be done outside another job/school. 

Our Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Master degree or better in Mathematics or Statistics
• 3+ years in data modeling and quantitative analysis
• 2+ years in ML algorithmic design, predictive modeling, and recommendation systems 
• Experience implementing Regression, Bayesian, Decision Trees, Random Forests, SVM, Clustering, Instance based methods, Association Rules, and Dimensionality Reduction
• Expert in using a statistical package, such as R, Matlab/Octave, the Python scientific package or other
• Experience working with the BigML, Google Prediction API, Azure ML, or other hosted machine learning systems
• Very strong set of data analysis skills
• Must have exceptional written and spoken communication skills (English)
