About the role
At Riverlane working as a DevOps Engineer, means helping our products succeed by improving our infrastructure and processes. You will help us shape our security stance in products and infrastructure, support us in our coding efforts and create secure solutions to deploy our products to our customers.
To help maximise the benefit you could bring to Riverlane, you would be working within one of our teams doing product development.
Prior knowledge of quantum computing is not required for this role.
Requirements
What you will do
Working as part of a flexible Engineering group, you will help us improve our development and cloud infrastructures. As part of your role, you will:
- Identify how to ensure we design secure code on multiple platforms, and providing valuable guidance to our Product leads
- Improve our build toolchain, leveraging cloud and distributed resources
- Identify improvements and adjustments that we can apply to our codebase and development/testing practices
- Improve and optimise our workflows
- Understanding the concept of secure by design
- Develop packaging/release mechanisms
- Collaborate with IT and Engineering in validating network decisions so that we optimise our cybersecurity stance throughout the business
- Support our EDA & Licensing management
What we need
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- System/Cyber-Security
- Experience (commercial or academic) with: Docker (Container, Compose, Hub), Makefile, CMake, Azure, Github and Github Actions
- DevSecOps experience
- Competence and understanding of coding best practices, clean code, code review
- Knowledge of encryption schemes and technologies
- Understanding of Linux commands and components
- An interest in quantum computing
Even better if…
- Relevant Industry experience
- Proficient in writing scripts to automate flows
- Knowledge of scripting for Windows and Mac
- Open-Source collaborations
- You want to be involved in product development
- Experience with security frameworks such as OWASP, NCSC security principle
