Director, Digital Experience Strategy - Joe Fresh

The Director, Digital Experience Strategy reporting to VP GM, Joe Fresh eCommerce, is a key member of Joe Fresh digital leadership team contributing to defining the overall strategy, vision, mission & culture for the online apparel cross functional team. We are looking for a leader to redefine the digital apparel shopping experience and make it so seamless & enjoyable that every Canadian will want to experience it. The digital apparel shopping journey has a list of complex problems which have yet to be solved effectively and this role provides the opportunity to not only solve this problem but also raise the bar on how our online store is experienced by customers.

- Create an online store front for Joe Fresh that engages customers effectively by ensuring the right products and content are surfaced at the right time during their shopping journey
- Create compelling stories utilizing focused product assortment and content for key events
- Generate ideas for new experience capabilities such as enhanced product detail pages, search results page, product listing pages, shops and others to enhance customer experiences
- Create content strategy to optimize the customer journey working collaboratively with product development & marketing teams
- Responsible for basket building (AOV and UPT), customer journey optimization (drop off/bounce rates) and conversion rate.
- Collaborate on how we define the personalization journey/experience that leads to, and includes, the Joe Fresh shopping experience.
- Collaborate on onsite experimentation strategy with a focus on growing the customer base, AOV, UPT, and conversion.
- Manage store fronts of Joe Fresh on PC Express
- Responsible for product enrichment process
- Manage product information by setting up data pipelines & vendor processes that enable gathering required product information to build online experiences
- Enable data attributes such as fit, garment type, care instructions and others that powers online experience capabilities such as search, product badges & others
- Manage assortment visibility rules and work collaboratively with omni-channel team to ensure customers have most accurate representation of product availability
- Ensure accurate product assortment by removing any de-listed products, adding new products
- Ensure samples are photographed on time and represent the product
- Ensure product copy has the details needed to help our customers make their purchase
- Lead and coach a talented team of creative, diverse, and passionate individuals to support the functional areas under the mandate
- Inspire the team with a compelling vision on team’s mandate and how they contribute to broader vision of Joe Fresh
- Create a highly engaged team as measured by internal engagement survey
- Ensure team members understand their roles & responsibilities and the skills required to succeed in the role
- Define growth paths for various roles within the team & succession plans for senior roles
- As we are in a matrixed organization, an important element of the role is to be able to build strong working relationship with several functional areas within Joe Fresh such as marketing, category, product development, and operations.
- Ability to influence wider organization on your vision and generating support to accomplish the work required for the team to be successful
- Manage key stakeholders across different areas of Loblaw Digital and Joe Fresh while ensuring team is focused on delivering highest customer value outcomes
- Showcasing the value that the team delivers & elevating team’s profile so they are considered an important stakeholder and have a seat at the table for major decisions

Does this sound like you?
- You have 8+ years of experience in managing /designing online experiences
- You have 5+ years’ experience leading & building strong teams
- You can easily build relationships and have been part of large, cross functional teams that are working to solve complex problems and build experiences for millions of customers
- You have a customer first approach to strategy, leveraging research and data paired with empathy to build experiences that create customer stickiness
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
- You thrive in ambiguous environments and work with high degree of proactive “hands-on” critical thinking and mobilizing actions
- You have demonstrated great judgement and know when to take a call to unblock teams and make decisions
- You can articulate a compelling vision & inspire your team to achieve it
- You can both think strategically & understand how to convert strategy into day-to-day operations with success
- You are obsessed with testing and experimentation is a core pillar of how you approach your work – aka you aren’t happy unless you’ve learned something after launching in market
