Director of CSD Creative

The Director, CSD Creative leads the team responsible for conceiving and developing visually-compelling print and digital media for CSD Creative, which services CSD Business Units and external customers. The Director plans and organizes projects and workflows; manages and maintains client relationships; actively contributes to the creative process and enhances production efforts; develops and delivers design specifications. The Director identifies, attracts and engages internal and external Talent in creative projects maximizing individual skillsets; and prepares and presents compelling communication pieces related to client projects. The Director is ultimately responsible for the success and profitability of projects and services involving CSD Creative Services.

Essential Functions

• Leads all internal and external campaigns assigned to Creative Services and ensures the highest standards of quality are met for all materials produced
• Collaborates with the Public Relations and Community Engagement team to maintain and establishes the CSD’s brand and creative properties and manages the voice of external messaging across all mediums. Maintains brand and product style guides and ensures adherence across the organization
• Oversees creative client meetings to ensure strategies, schedules, budgets, expectations, and other client needs are met. Meets with stakeholder groups to offer general creative support for organizational initiatives.
• Leads the Creative Team through the direct supervision and mentorship of all positions; leads recruitment and engagement of Creative Team staff and external resources
• Oversees the execution of all creative efforts and ensure they are on strategy, on budget, and on schedule
• Plans and recommends new project guidelines, including budgets, goals, and measurements for success
• Supports and participates in new business activities regarding CSD Creative Services; partners with Account Executive to ensure client success
• Monitors and elevates internal product and marketing content according to best-in-class design and creative standards
• Develops and produces creative including digital, print, social, and other media in collaboration with Leadership Team, Creative Team, and other contributors
• Translates customer needs into strategies for delivering compelling interactions, experiences, and products
• Oversees photography, video, and design productions and ensures the appropriate recording and warehousing of print and digital materials
• Acts as a partner to the Leadership Team, Creative team and CSD Business Units, engaging in constructive feedback for the best ideas for the CSD’s Brand and each Business Unit’s Brand
• Leads and inspire members of the Creative team to cultivate their career development, creative skills and passion for the work they perform

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Art, Photography, Videography, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
• Five years of professional experience in an advertising or creative agency supporting diverse creative projects or initiatives
• Three years of professional experience leading a diverse, multilingual team (preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language
