Director of Enrollment and Billing Optimization

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Director of Enrollment and Billing Optimization to join our Concierge Optimization Team.

About the role

The Director of Enrollment and Billing Optimization will develop the department's strategy, managing its resources, developing and implementing an operating plan for improving efficiency, scaling operations and ensuring the achievement of departmental performance metrics.

You will report to the Senior Director, Strategy and Optimization.

This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $176,000 - $231,000 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $158,400 - $207,900 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop a inspired team of managers and their reports
  • Provide structure and support for your team, allowing them to keep their focus on delivering important projects
  • Develop foundational processes for scaling our eligibility & billing operations
  • Lead team to surface data, process, and technology issues through proactive identification, measurement, and monitoring of our operations; partner to develop end-to-end strategy that uses these insights to grow
  • Oversee team vision and strategy including quarterly vital setting and multi-year roadmap
  • Be a transformation champion across the business while serving as an expert, with an understanding of business operations and automation industry evolution and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships to lead multi department collaboration
  • Create a data-driven approach to identify trends and process variations which includes performing cost benefit analysis to support transformational programs
  • Work with other management areas to ensure operational consistency within the organization and all lines of business.
  • Provide direction, feedback and final approval on the setup of different systems to promote accurate membership reporting and reconciliation.
  • Promote the use of accepted best practices and innovative strategies.
  • Ensure operational compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure operations meet vendor/customer contractual requirements.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or commensurate 4 years of experience
  • 10+ years of work experience in health insurance, consulting, healthcare, or operations
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing a team
  • 4+ years experience working in payer enrollment, eligibility and billing
  • Experience with E&B technology e.g. EDI 834
  • Experience in program management or design or implementation
  • Experience success for improving processes and workflows including workflow design and working with product/engineering teams to design tooling

Pay Transparency: 

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.

Full-time employees in this role are also eligible for benefits including: medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid holidays, paid vacation and sick time, paid parental leave, 401(k) plan participation, life and disability insurance, and paid wellness time and reimbursements.
