Devoted Health
Director of Quality and Accreditation
A bit about us:
We’re on a mission to change healthcare — how it’s paid for, delivered, experienced. We want to put people center stage, not process or profit. We are guided by a deep belief that every person on Medicare should be treated like we would treat a member of our own family: with loving care and a profound commitment to their health and well-being.
That’s why we’re gathering a whole bunch of smart, big-hearted people to create a new kind of healthcare company — one that combines compassion, health insurance, clinical care, and technology seamlessly.
"We want to partner with people we love for a cause we believe in. Life is short. Join us."
We are hiring someone to lead and provide strategic direction for Devoted’s Quality Improvement Program. This person is responsible for driving a culture of quality across the organization by serving as the key resource to senior leadership and other clinical and operational teams on all quality improvement and accreditation programs and initiatives. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, welcomes a challenge, and can bring vision into reality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop Devoted’s Quality team to meet the needs of a growing, dynamic organization
- Annually develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the QI program and processes to meet regulatory, accreditation and standards of practice.
- Facilitate and lead Devoted’s Quality Committee
- Utilize HEDIS, CAHPS/HOS, STARS and other CMS metrics to partner with key stakeholders in the design, development, and implementation of effective strategies and programs throughout the organization focused on improving quality, member experience, and population health outcomes.
- Collaborate with relevant areas of the organization to monitor and ensure compliance with AAAHC accreditation requirements, and federal and state quality improvement activities
- Provide guidance on policies and procedures, workflows, reporting, and improvement projects related to quality and accreditation
- Work closely with data engineers and analysts to develop and improve quality metrics and dashboards
- Maintain open communication with leadership about your work - what’s going well, and what’s not
- Ability to think outside the box to identify new and innovative ways to meet goals and improve the quality of care for our members
Desired skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Healthcare-focused advanced degree, clinical license, and/or certification preferred but not required, e.g. MPH, MHA, RN, CPHQ, CHCA
- 5-10 years experience in managed healthcare
- 3+ years working in health plan quality improvement or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of CMS Medicare Advantage practices and requirements
- Experience with accreditation surveys and requirements, e.g. AAAHC, NCQA, URAC
- Prior experience in HEDIS, CAHPS/HOS, and STARS
- Knowledge of CMS Special Needs Plans (SNP) and Models of Care
- Project management skills
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with all levels of the organization
