Director of Sales Strategy & Operations
We're looking for a Director of Sales Strategy & Operations who will be responsible for leading and managing the Sales Operations function and maximizing merchant revenue growth through the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of sales strategies, programs, systems, and initiatives.
This role is key to DoorDash’s success as we launch new product lines and scale to three times our current geographic coverage in 2018. This individual will focus on managing functions essential to go to market and strategy related initiatives that will drive enablement and productivity. This will include planning, forecasting, reporting & analytics, goal setting and management, revenue process optimization, system management, and strategic program implementation.
The ideal candidate has worked with fast paced, rapidly growing organizations and a broad spectrum of sales metrics, processes, and tools. A thorough understanding of SMB and enterprise selling processes and experience with corresponding sales metrics are strongly preferred. You are able to identify process improvements in all aspects of sales operations.
What You'll Do
- Leading and managing all Sales Strategy & Operations functions and maximizing revenue growth for the Sales Org as we continue to build upon our product and diversify our revenue streams.
- Own all systems and tools related to our sales processes with SFDC as our central hub. You will be responsible for evaluation, improvement, and implementation of tools and software, working closely with our Business Applications team for execution support.
- Leading cross functional initiatives and collaborating closely with product, sales, marketing, partner management, analytics, and finance.
- Develop key performance metrics and establish effective analysis of salesforce trends to identify opportunities for greater efficiencies and drive outsized performance.
- Implementing merchant lifecycle management strategies to track relationships from lead generation to revenue realization, account development, and retention while developing strategies to maximize merchant LTV.
- Assisting in all facets of sales planning, including regular updates to quotas, headcount, and sales plan.
- Owning lead distribution and management.
- Design, implement, and manage forecasting, planning, and productivity processes to ensure appropriate resourcing based on key business metrics across the organization.
- Deliver strategic projects for our leadership that provides key business insights and high-priority initiatives as we enter our next phase of growth (lead generation efforts, merchant acquisition strategies, addressable market identification, merchant pricing programs, etc.).
- Works closely with Sales Training to design and develop training programs to assist with the implementation of strategic projects or new products.
- Works closely with cross functional partners to design, develop and deliver internal and client/candidate facing collateral.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Sales/Business Operations, Business Planning and Strategy (ideally at a high growth tech company).
- Expertise in all things Salesforce.com.
- A track record of success in leading strategic cross functional programs and managing a project portfolio.
- Strong leadership skills and people management experience.
- Significant experience and comfort with financial and quantitative models, drawing insights from large and complex datasets and translating those into actionable strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems and drive solutions cross-functionally with senior management.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with experience delivering presentations to an executive audience.
- Ability to create and foster a high performing and metrics driven environment
- Experience successfully managing rigorous corporate initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in making data driven decisions including but not limited to regression analysis, predictive modeling, territory planning optimization, developing addressable opportunity, lead scoring, etc.
- Has acted as the driving force in aligning Sales Operations, Sales Management, Product, Marketing, Finance, IT and Customer Support to determine key business strategies and develop go to market and operating plans.
- Experience building advanced models with SQL and Salesforce dashboards/reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
