Praxis Engineering Technologies, LLC, is looking for a dynamic and strategically minded individual to support our National Security Programs team. This team guides the security posture of Praxis Engineering Technologies, LLC’s classified national security programs. The Security Director position will report to the Director of Security.  The Security Director working in tandem with the Praxis, Senior Managing Official (SMO) to execute the near-term tactical and long-term strategic execution of program security for the Praxis National Program portfolio in the Maryland Office. The director will grow team capability for the future and follow through on a diverse set of program security commitments and requirements for critically important customers while simultaneously driving Praxis Engineering innovation in a typically traditional industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guide a robust and outcome-focused team that will lead all aspects of Praxis Engineering, LLC’s security efforts around, and in support of, National Security Programs. Guide this team towards a deep partnership with the broader Praxis enterprise, and towards full understanding of Praxis Engineering, LLC’s mission needs and national security objectives.

Serve as key focal point and expert for national security requirements at Praxis Engineering, LLC, and foster a sense of ownership and accountability for the security of classified efforts at Praxis Engineering.

Demonstrate full cradle-to-grave ownership of program security for multiple classified efforts and customers. Understand program requirements and goals, build comprehensive plans for supporting the execution of programs in a secure fashion, in compliance with applicable regulations, and execute these plans alongside program milestones.

Directly manage security program team members – consisting of Program Security, Facility Security, and Personnel Security disciplines.

Lead the planning for technical, personnel, facility and security regulatory compliance, as well as operational activities supporting those programs.

Lead security involvement for new program proposals and broader company policy updates regarding security and counter-intelligence practices for the company.

Partner with various government agencies to ensure the organization is in compliance with directives, regulations, and recurring accreditation – including interpretations and deviations from these directives and regulations, as appropriate. This effort covers multiple disciplines to include Physical Security, Personnel Security, and Operational Security.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience interfacing with the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community offices in conjunction with classified programs.
  • Experience in roles such as Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), Insider Threat Programs Senior Official (ITPSO)
  • Solid understanding of implementation requirements for Insider Threat Program (ITP); manage and execute ITPSO responsibilities for the organization to include; communication plans, program plans and creating team dynamics to facilitate ITP.
  • Strong knowledge of NISPOM, IC directives, and related security policy and procedures.
  • Experience supporting classified proposal development and execution
  • Degree in a field pertaining to engineering, science, industrial security, or information security.
  • Experience briefing company executive leadership for strategic planning and/or driving key decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing and implementing applicable policy in security
  • Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills and organizational skills enabling effective communications
  • Classification review experience
  • Counterintelligence, Insider Threat and OPSEC program experience

 

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree.  

15+ years of security related experience.

Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance w/poly.
