The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition and Strategy to design and implement recruiting strategies, workforce management, and global talent strategy for ApplyBoard.
Reporting to the VP of People & Culture, the Director of Talent Acquisition and Strategy is a tactical role which will set the direction on how the organization forecasts workforce requirements, with responsibilities monitoring recruitment procedures, from sourcing to hiring, managing a team of recruiters and identifying high-potential candidates. If you have previous experience and know how to build a strong employer brand, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will help us grow our teams with qualified employees and achieve our business goals.
What you will do every day:
- Build global talent pipelines for current and future job openings.
- Develop and lead all global sourcing strategies.
- Manage our external partnerships with colleges, job boards and HR software vendors.
- Implement online and offline employer branding activities.
- Prepare and review our annual recruitment budget.
- Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews and communication).
- Working with leadership to forecast global hiring needs based on business growth plans.
- Manage, train and evaluate our team of recruiters.
- Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of our company.
- Develop a network of potential future hires (e.g. past applicants and referred candidates).
- Manage and further develop our internal and global referral program.
- Partner with internal teams (HR, IT, L&D) to ensure an exceptional candidate experience and employee career pathing.
- Measure key recruitment metrics (i.e. source of hire, time-to-hire etc.) and build out robust talent analytics dashboards
- Liaise with Business Unit Resource Management teams, HR and Recruitment to provide talent strategy and planning aligned to the business goals to include career development.
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum of 15+ years of Talent Acquisition experience with at least 7+ years in a leadership position.
- Proven work experience in a strategic role as a global Talent Acquisition Director.
- Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives.
- Proven experience and ability to scale global talent growth and strategy.
- Demonstrable Talent Management strategy (9 Box Grid, succession planning, etc.)
- Technical mindset and passion for the latest innovations in technology.
- Ability to work across an organization, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Good team-management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners and candidates).
- BSc/MSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field.
Ideally, you also have experience with some of:
- Experience scaling talent at high-growth technology companies (i.e. SaaS, Platform, E-Commerce, Marketplace).
- Passion for the Edtech industry and improving access to education worldwide.
- Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter, social networks).
- Hands-on experience with ATS (i.e. Lever) and HRIS (i.e. Workday, UKG etc.).
