The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Director, Product Marketing, Digital Wealth to join our Marketing team.

This role can be mostly remote, however we will on occasion require you to come onsite to our office at 151 Yonge St, Toronto, ON.

Reporting to the VP and Head of Product Marketing, the Director, Product Marketing, Digital Wealth will develop and execute compelling go-to-market strategies for our digital wealth services/platforms, specifically Qtrade Direct Investing and Qtrade Guided Portfolios (the “digital businesses”).

As the marketing lead for the Digital Wealth business, core responsibilities include customer acquisition, growth, engagement, competitive insights, annual marketing plans, budgets, and product positioning. The Director, Product Marketing, Digital Wealth will lead the Digital Wealth Product Marketing team (currently three Marketing Professionals). This Director will be responsible for business line management and overseeing internal and external relationships across the Digital Wealth business line and is a key member of the Digital Wealth business line leadership team.

What your day looks like:

  • Responsible for the development of Digital Wealth full life-cycle marketing strategies. Leads and executes the go-to-market strategy for all Digital Wealth initiatives in collaboration with the business leadership team
  • Develops the strategy and plans to evolve campaigns and programs into “always-on’, marketing programs through a data-driven approach involving testing and ongoing optimization including awareness campaigns, public relations and social media strategy, events, etc.
  • Act as the Digital Wealth Product Marketing champion across the Digital Wealth Executive and leadership team to prioritize and manage all Digital Wealth marketing initiatives and plans to enable successful completion of Digital Wealth objectives
  • Responsible for understanding the business drivers, challenges, and plans of the digital businesses to conceive plans that are aligned and drive value
  • Brand champion of the Qtrade brand
  • Responsible for media plans and manages media agencies to ensure programs are meeting expectations
  • Prepares creative and media briefs for sign off and manages creative agencies to ensure creative/agency work meets expectations
  • Define and implement key results and performance indicators for reporting on the effectiveness of Digital Wealth marketing efforts and leverage analytics to enable data-driven decisions
  • Marketing budget management: Responsible for the Digital Wealth marketing budget, actively manages the budget and provides frequent reporting on budget status
  • Develops an annual marketing plan that meets business driver expectations and business plans (growth, client engagement and platform changes) across all distribution channels
  • Working in partnership with the Business Line, conceive of new content topics, ideas, and solutions to educate our customer base
  • Conceives and implements integrated marketing communications programs to our existing customer base, including onboarding, cross-sell, retention, and platform adoption programs
  • Understand the competitive landscape, customer insights and digital trends.
  • Play an active role in product strategy leadership, providing recommendations and customer insights
  • Monitor results and deliver plans that regularly exceed the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs
  • Form and foster partnerships with internal marketing colleagues to leverage existing resources, align with best practices, find operational and financial efficiencies and maximize performance
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, communication policies, procedures, and brand standards

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Communications or similar).
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing experience, including B2C marketing, advertising, branding, and sales enablement
  • Demonstrated experience in on-line brokerage and/or robo-advice platforms
  • Solid understanding of online investing, robo-advice, the wealth landscape, and investment dealer functions (including compliance, etc.)
  • Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated analytical skills
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task, set measurable objectives, manage defined timelines and budgets for each campaign
  • Experience leading or operating in cross-functional work environments, in large teams comprised of stakeholders from multiple disciplines
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
