About the Team
The Talent Management and Rewards team creates people programs that grow, support and motivate employees so that DoorDash can achieve its vision of empowering local economies everywhere. The Talent & Rewards Cycle cross-functional team brings this vision to life with our premier program: the bi-annual talent and compensation cycles. Through this program, we drive critical top talent identification, distribution of meaningful rewards for top performers, and ultimately power our pay for performance philosophy.
About the Role
The Director of Talent & Rewards Cycle at DoorDash will lead a cross-functional team to align on the philosophy, then design, execute, and track success of DoorDash’s bi-annual talent and compensation cycles. They will organize, motivate, and drive accountability across the team to execute this critical program with high operational rigor, and aligned with our overall compensation and talent management philosophies.
This critical role will report into our VP of Talent & Rewards, and sits alongside our Director of Talent Management, Senior Director of Compensation, Director of Benefits, and Director of Learning & Development. In addition to partnering closely with these peers, this role requires deep cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management with DoorDash’s People Experience Technology, HR Business Partner, People Services, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, People Analytics teams to be successful. We expect this role to be hybrid with some time in-office and some time remote.

- Set the strategy and direction, and lead execution of our premier talent and compensation program, ultimately shaping how we reward and grow our employees
- Responsible for creating the long-term vision to create scalable and predictable cycles that bring to life our compensation and talent management philosophies
- Indirectly manage a cross-functional team of 30-50 employees across the People team function. Create the vision for the team, coach and execute alongside them to make a program that drives meaningful impact on our business
- Partner with our most senior leaders to shape our strategy and design for our talent and compensation cycles in support of driving business results

- Are an experienced program manager with 12+ years of professional experience, including 8+ years in compensation, talent management, and/or program management in the people space
- Are skilled at stakeholder management, change management, and communications, to ensure senior leaders and cross-functional partners are aligned with your strategy and understand the role they play in achieving shared goals
- Are an experienced, self-motivated program manager, displaying strong learning agility, systems thinking, operational excellence, and with experience directing high impact programs
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment that requires you to ruthlessly prioritize and juggle multiple deliverables at once
- Know how to optimize and improve processes while designing for scale (i.e. automation)
