DMV Operations Specialist (Titles)
TLDR
Hands-on role resolving complex vehicle title and lien data across multiple DMVs, coordinating with agencies nationwide to ensure accurate, timely title perfection.
- Conduct high-volume outbound interactions with DMV offices across all U.S. states and counties to obtain title and lien-related information.
- Verify and interpret title status, lienholder details, rejection reasons, correction requirements, and applicable fees.
- Navigate inconsistent DMV responses, asking clarifying questions and challenging inaccuracies when necessary.
- Translate DMV communications into clear, structured updates for internal production and resolution teams.
- Maintain precise documentation of all findings in internal systems with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
- Identify risks, delays, and discrepancies that may impact title perfection timelines and escalate when needed.
- Support internal teams by providing verified information and actionable recommendations based on DMV interactions.
- Contribute to process improvement by updating internal documentation and sharing operational insights.
- Maximize productivity during downtime by multitasking effectively while managing call hold times and workflows.
- 1+ year of experience in DMV operations, vehicle titling, lien processing, or related automotive administrative work.
- Strong understanding of vehicle title workflows, lienholder requirements, and DMV procedures.
- Experience working in high-volume phone-based or customer interaction environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation and data accuracy skills.
- Ability to interpret unclear or conflicting external information and make sound operational decisions.
- Strong communication skills with confidence in asking direct questions and clarifying discrepancies.
- Proven persistence and resilience when managing long hold times and complex interactions.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities independently.
- Hourly compensation ranging from $26–$30 per hour based on experience.
