Dockworker
TLDR
Supports container stripping and cargo deliveries in a warehouse, coordinating with foreman and tallyman to ensure accurate handling and timely delivery to consignee.
Job Title: Dockworker
Department: Warehouse Department
Reporting Relationship: Warehouse Supervisor
Summary of Responsibilities: The Warehouse Dockworker is responsible for assisting with the stripping of containers and deliveries of cargo to consignee at the Warehouse.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Foreman and Tallyman with stripping of containers.
- Assist with inspection and counting of cargo on pallets
- Assist with labeling and loading of cargo
- Store cargo in warehouse.
- Assist forklift operators (when needed) with safe storage and handling of cargo.
- Loading of cargo for deliveries to consignee
- Assist with the tallying of the pallets
- Deliver cargo unto consignee’s vehicle
- Assist in general cleaning of Warehouse
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- 3-5 years professional experience
