EHS Senior Manager

Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Sr. Manger Special Projects provides operational oversight for safety and environmental matters. The position is also responsible for development of, leading and sustaining safety and environmental initiatives for a broad range of activities to ensure safe and healthy workplaces for employees across the organization. In addition, the position drives continuous improvement for operations by working with the business leaders to identify solutions to EHS issues/challenges.
 
THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Manage, and ensure, compliance with applicable air, stormwater, solid/hazardous waste State & Federal regulations for multiple US locations.
• Influence human behaviors to reduce workplace, and build plan, risks. 
• Perform job duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines, specifically OSHA and EPA. 
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Lead, and manage, ESG guided projects.
• Recommend corrective actions, and lead teams to completion, as needed.
• Prepare, and submit, environmental and safety reports for compliance.
• Keep up to date on process changes and approve any new required permit applications.  Ensure applications are submitted as necessary.
• Lead projects for waste reduction and sustainability planning.
• Following all aspects of the site Environmental, Health and Safety Policy as it pertains to normal job duties.

THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Project Management Professional, Occupational Safety or, Environmental Science preferred.
• Knowledge of international safety and environmental regulations.
• 10 Years related work experience in EHS.
• Prior work experience managing national, or international, operations.
• Not only understand complex regulations but be able to communicate requirements to groups with diverse interests and backgrounds.
• Familiarity with data and root cause analysis techniques.
• Understanding of incident and injury prevention programs.
• Prior project, or program, management responsibilities.
• Ability to work varied hours with travel (domestic/international), required (up to 25% plus travel).
• Must be organized and have knowledge of regulatory record keeping requirements.
