EHS Specialist
Job Purpose:
To support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at the site, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations.
Shift pattern – 8 hours a day, 5 days a week flexible hours
Key Responsibilities:
Incident investigation and analysis
- Conduct accident investigations on reported incidents, near misses and observations
- Conduct analysis and assign corrective and preventative actions
- Carry out trend analysis to prevent future incidents
Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and risk assessments.
- Update and manage procedure documents to align with regulatory standards and site requirements.
- Conduct safety sign offs for new equipment
- Carry out risk assessments and train non EHS staff on risk assessment
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for EHS program enhancement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive safety and sustainability initiatives.
Expansion support
- Provide input to the planning of the expansion of operations across the site while maintaining operations and site safety standards
- Support innervation of improved safety solutions for manufacturing operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Nebosh qualification preferred but not required
- Strong experience in EHS operations within semi-conductors, chemical plant or similar industrial environment.
- Knowledge of COSHH, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational abilities
