Electrical Technician

As part of our Delivery team, you'll assemble, test, install, and service advanced industrial systems used by leading metal producers around the world. From production in Iceland to supporting commissioning at customer sites, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality solutions.


Working across the entire delivery process, you'll assemble and wire electrical cabinets, support commissioning and service activities, and help ensure every system meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities 

  • Assembling according to blueprints and specifications. 
  • Review the assembly and testing device before packaging. 
  • Ensuring the quality and reliability of operations.
  • Packaging and delivery of the device to customers. 
  • Ensuring the quality and reliability of operations.
  • Service visits to customer sites to upgrade, rebuild, or repair devices already in operation.

     

    Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience 

    • Certification as an Electrician. 
    • 3-5 years of experience in building electrics for mechanical equipment. 
    • Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs) and industrial communication networks is an advantage. 
    • Experience within the aluminum industry is a plus. 

     

    Skills & Characteristics

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently. 
    • Good general computer proficiency and ability to work with technical documents. 
    • Excellent organization skills and focus on quality, ensuring compliance with international standards. 
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required; additional language proficiency is an advantage.
