Employee Resource Group Program Manager
At Okta, we work to nurture a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging when we meet the needs of Okta employees, customers, partners, and the communities we serve. The Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) team supports this vision by driving opportunities for connection and professional development. Employee Resource Groups are instrumental in scaling out programming that advances us toward equitable representation, development, and retention.
In this role, you will work for the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging and partner with business leaders, the People & Places Team, Recruiting, Communications, Marketing, and Legal to build and measure inclusion initiatives. You will work closely with ERG leaders and executive sponsors to champion their mission, amplify their voices, and deepen their impact. You will launch and measure programs that drive the growth of our team members from marginalized communities, including members of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veteran, caregivers, disability, and neurodiversity groups.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, advise, and consult on all aspects of ERG efforts at Okta
- Budget, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of our DIB and ERG initiatives
- Build streamlined resources and drive adoption of repeatable processes
- Establish guidelines and programs to attract, promote, and retain a diverse workforce
- Create strategies to strengthen global participation and intersectional collaboration among our ERGs
- Facilitate quarterly ERG summits, professional development opportunities, and educational workshops
- Influence executive sponsors and evangelize the value of DIB and ERGs to key leaders
You could be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Minimum 4+ years track record of designing, implementing, and measuring ERG or DIB programs
- Strong program management skills; ability to develop roadmaps and track milestones
- Experience synthesizing data and making recommendations to improve programs
- Effective written and verbal communication of ideas and strategy to people at all levels (from individual contributors to executives)
- A deep understanding of the complexity and diversity within marginalized communities
Studies show that people from marginalized groups are more likely to apply to jobs when they meet 100% of the requirements. If you have experience with most of these requirements, we encourage you to apply.
