We are searching for an Engineer based in Ensenada, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting and leading, as required, the efforts to control and improve processes and systems currently in use and to bring new technologies to Fender in the search for Better Products, considering the Best Time to process, adhering to the current and new Environmental laws to continue delivering product to customers as scheduled.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for the correct design of lay-out or distribution of manufacturing processes taking into consideration safety standards.
  • Ensure process capability to meet quality requirements.
  • Ensure operation cycle time and cost restrictions focusing on maximizing resource utilization efficiency, space requirements, and workflow.
  • Support continuous improvement activities by applying lean manufacturing concepts, techniques, and problem-solving methodologies to reduce waste.
  • Provide technical support to team members, application engineers, and production personnel as required.
  • Assist in documenting regulatory information on current and new processes, formulation, and application development.
  • Guide and bring all the information required for regulations governing and other safety and quality compliances.
  • Implement and monitor document parameter settings for the manufacturing process and application equipment to maintain control according to the specified quality standards detailed in the control plans for all products.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required: BA/BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or another related field.
  • A minimum of 1-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working in high volume consumer products is desired or a similar position.
  • Experienced Industrial engineer or complementary skills (e.g., project, product, quality, or manufacturing engineering).
  • Green Belt Experience.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Project management sufficient to lead cross-functional teams.
  • English language competency is required.
  • Any additional musical background is a plus.
