Engineering Manager, Robotics
Your New Role and Team
Our Engineering team is looking to hire an Engineering Manager on our Robotics team. Reporting to our Senior Roboticist, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of our design, and implementation of the robotics and mobility systems within our general-purpose robots.
The best candidates for this role have excellent organizational skills and hands-on experience with combined hardware and software robotics projects. You’ll be a valued contributor as you learn and adapt to cutting edge robotics development, do what it takes to ensure the project quality and timeline, and support the technical team to solve exciting challenges.

- Tap into your management skills as you write, communicate, and collaborate on project management documentation and liaise between technical teams
- Diploma/Degree in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, a related technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of complex hardware engineering management experience
- Knowledge of professional engineering practices for the full hardware product life cycle
- Have worked in a mixed hardware/software environment that demands complex concurrent engineering practices - synchronizing software and hardware releases
- Experience in running design reviews, managing requirements, managing risks, and transforming engineering teams to iterate hardware quickly
- Have worked through the complete life cycle of building and sustaining high-performance robotic systems
- Familiarity with Jira or other similar work management tools as well as Agile and waterfall methodologies
- You are familiar with all stages of the manufacturing process, engineering drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering and embedded systems for robotics applications
- Can synthesize technical information quickly
- Above all else, a consistently positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to create robust solutions to complex problems
- Optimistic listening and conflict resolution capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to influence others, drive collaboration, and grow/develop teams
