Erlang developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Erlang Developer to work on backend projects.

What to do:

• Distributed high-load financial system;

• We process trades and transactions, calculate financial metrics using several distributed services in Erlang;

• We store data in PostgreSQL;

• We communicate with clients through a combination of REST API and TCP-based streams;

• We collect metrics in Graphite, logs in Graylog.

Key resposibilities:

• Design, develop and implement new features from idea to release;

• Maintain current functionality against the backdrop of explosive growth in the number of clients;

• Participate in developing the project architecture, writing and supporting documentation;

• Actively interact with the team, code reviews, mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional development experience;

• Experience in Erlang/Elixir development, excellent knowledge of OTP;

• Experience in developing distributed server applications with high load;

• Experience working with SQL databases, understanding of the principles of working with a significant amount of data, ways to optimize latency;

• Experience with git, team work using github/gitlab;

• Knowledge of Linux OS at the advanced user level;

• English at level B1 and above.

It will be useful:

• Excellent knowledge of features and peculiarities of working with PostgreSQL;

• Knowledge of the principles of code instrumentation and collection of quality metrics;

• Knowledge of REST API, Swagger/OpenAPI principles;

• Experience with Docker/k8s;

• Experience with RabbitMQ/Kafka;

• Experience developing in C++ and/or Rust;

• Availability of your own open-source projects/libraries or an active github profile.
