Summary: Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Brand Activation, the Event and Trade show Specialist will support the planning, execution and oversight of Fanatics and Nike Brand events, activations, tradeshows, along with Corporate Sales meetings, in alignment with specified marketing strategy. The Specialist is responsible for ensuring Fanatics and Nike's presence at events and shows reflects a polished execution of brand standards and business unit objectives.
This position is responsible for collaborating with various cross-functional teams and partners to execute an effective event and trade show program. Responsibilities include the coordination of all elements of the program outlined including the following:
• Scheduling and planning
• Logistics and operations
• Development of displays and graphics
• Vendor and association relationship
• Supervision
• ROI and Metrics analysis
This position is based out of Fanatics Tampa, FL office – remote employment may be considered for suitable candidate
Responsibilities
- Simultaneously coordinate and execute multiple events of varying sizes at any one time. Assume top-to-bottom ownership of show planning, logistics and operations while executing a fast-paced event/ trade show schedule. Ensure all details are completed accurately, on time and within budget.
- Consult with Sr. Manager regarding event strategy, objectives and program goals; make recommendations to achieve minimum spend for maximum impact.
- Provide concise updates on all projects assigned on weekly, monthly and yearly basis or as needed – to include budget, schedule and execution plan.
- Partner and communicate with key internal stakeholders, including marketing, product merchandising and sales departments on tradeshow and event strategy, budget, and execution plan
- Plan/coordinate event and show logistics, including staffing, booth and equipment shipment and rental, set-up and dismantle. Oversee event process and be onsite from the first day of set up through the final day of tear down.
- Maintain knowledge of corporate Brand guidelines and ensure all aspects of events and trade shows meet requirements.
- Provide post event/ tradeshow re-cap outlining overview, budget reconciliation, successes and suggested improvements for future events/ trades shows.
- Post-event tracking, available metrics and ROI analysis to help measure the company’s marketing initiatives and to improve future performance.
- Coordinate Labor calls for scheduled events and trade shows, understanding various union restrictions based on venue and local guidelines.
- Assist in managing, maintaining all event and trade show inventory at various off-site vendors while recommending continuous improvements for all assets.
- Maintain an accurate, updated event and trade show calendar.
- Coordinate and manage Fanatics Marketing closet inventory
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience managing events and trade shows
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Deadline-driven and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues with a mature, calm, and flexible approach
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal clients, executive management and business partners
- Ability to travel up to 30% – number of days each month will vary and include both weekends and evenings during show set-up and dismantling
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both, orally and in writing
- Can thrive in an environment where priorities shift on a dime; demonstrated flexibility
- Experience working with MS Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) a plus.
- Proficiency with Sketch-up or rendering software a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising or Communications or equivalent experience desired
