Field Service Technician | Travel Across Canada | Advanced Pipeline Technologies

If you're the kind of person who loves solving technical challenges, working hands-on with equipment, and being in the field instead of behind a desk—this role was built for you. You can either be located in the Mississauga or Montreal area for this hybrid role.

As a Field Service Technician, you'll help deploy cutting-edge technologies that assess the health of critical water and wastewater pipelines across Canada. Your work will directly help utilities make smarter infrastructure decisions, prevent failures, and protect one of our most valuable resources: water.

🛠 What You'll Be Doing

  • Deploying, operating, and recovering advanced pipeline inspection and condition assessment technologies
  • Supporting field projects involving water transmission mains and wastewater infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and operational issues during field deployments
  • Inspecting, testing, maintaining, and preparing specialized equipment for mobilization
  • Reading maps, construction drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Assisting Senior Technicians with project planning, field coordination, and execution
  • Conducting daily safety meetings, job hazard assessments, and onsite planning activities
  • Documenting project activities, field reports, timesheets, and expenses
  • Communicating directly with customers, contractors, municipalities, and project stakeholders
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence

You'll work at project sites across Canada—supporting municipalities and utility providers responsible for delivering safe drinking water and wastewater services to millions of people.

Whether you're working in a major city, a remote community, or alongside engineering and utility teams in the field, you'll play an important role in helping customers understand and protect their critical infrastructure.

✅ What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Engineering Technologist Diploma with relevant field experience will also be considered
  • Up to 5 years of experience in field service, construction, utilities, infrastructure, environmental services, or related industries
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with tools and equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, construction plans, and maps
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience working directly with customers, contractors, or clients is an asset
  • French language skills are considered a plus
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Language French, is a plus!
  • Ability to travel up to 75% throughout Canada, with occasional travel to the United States and internationally

  • Pipeline inspection or infrastructure assessment experience
  • Working at Heights certification
  • Confined Space Entry certification
  • First Aid / CPR certification
  • Construction or industrial field experience
