Finance Assistant - London (Hybrid)
Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team at GoHenry. Reporting to the Management Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the financial processes; processing invoices, bank reconciliations, reviewing expenses claims and company card transactions. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our GoHenry teams are following the financial processes that are aligned with our internal policies and guidance. As a Finance Assistant you will also be the point of contact for any internal and external queries that may arise. You will also be assisting in report preparations; payment runs, VAT and depreciations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the processing of invoices, credit card transactions and expenses claims are completed efficiently inline with our internal policies
- Assist the Finance Team with bank reconciliations and preparation of payment runs
- Preparing financial information for internal and external purposes
- Assist in the processing of customer refunds
- Assisting in the year end audit process
- Be the first point of contact for GoHenry colleagues and external suppliers for any finance queries
- Assist the team with any day-to-day running of the Finance Team
What we’re looking for
Our Finance Assistant must-haves:
- Interest in accountancy as a career
- Experience working in an office environment; familiar with using Microsoft Excel
- Detailed oriented
It’d be great if you have:
- Experience in using an accountancy software e.g. Netsuite, Xero, Sage etc.
- Started your AAT qualifications
We’re looking for a self-starter who is motivated to kick start their own projects, welcomes challenges, seeks feedback from others, asks “how can I help” and then “how can we make this better”, shows perseverance on long-term goals, and generally goes above and beyond in their work.
