We're looking for a motivated accounting intern to join our finance team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world accounting practices while working alongside experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
- Assist in preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Conduct data entry and ensure accuracy of financial data in accounting software
- Help with bank statement reconciliations
- Support the team with ad hoc projects and analysis as needed
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (sophomore standing or above preferred)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles (debits, credits, financial statements)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite or similar software a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
