The Financial Accountant will be responsible for processing all finance-related transactions including month-end accounting and journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and various reporting requirements for Princess Polly. They will ensure Princess Polly is meeting its statutory, reporting, and compliance requirements.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will handle month-end accounting including preparation, reconciliation, and accurate input of sales, cost of goods sold, etc.

-On a weekly basis, you will report on Profit and Loss (P&L)

-You will handle stock reconciliation and assist in the management of our WMS (Warehouse Management System)

-You will provide assistance with the preparation of monthly departmental packs

-As the key contact for all audit queries, you will prepare documentation as requested

-You will build and maintain strong professional relationships with the corporate and distribution center teams to ensure prompt resolution to finance issues

-You will contribute towards continuous process improvements for the Finance department 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

-Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in a similar accounting or finance role 

-CA or CPA qualification

-This role requires a strategic thinker, with demonstrated experience in eCommerce financial management.

-Proficient in Microsoft programs, including advanced Excel abilities, and previous experience with Netsuite desired

-Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on a company’s success

-Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

-A high attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently

-The desire to work in a fast-paced environment
