In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Build, automate and maintain business reporting, analysis and metrics, including in-depth analytics of key metrics such as LTV, ARPU, CAC, Payback, funnel analysis and marketing attribution
- Analyze all performance marketing data to measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies and provide recommendations on optimization tactics (cross-channel, cross-product) and product launch plans
- Identify gaps and opportunities, collaborating within the FP&A team and cross-functionally, to come up with strategies to optimize existing campaigns and create new initiatives
- Develop a deep understanding of marketing channel performance and financial results
- Work closely with the Growth Marketing and Finance teams to develop monthly, quarterly and annual marketing forecasts and perform variance analysis on actuals to forecast
- Provide assistance on ad-hoc projects as required
We're looking for someone who has:
- 3+ years of experience in an analytical role
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities and hands-on experience with data; has advanced SQL and financial modelling skills
- A passion for solving challenging and impactful problems; getting into the weeds by understanding the how and why of business processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in collaboration with various team members; confidence to express views
- Strong communication skills including effective writing skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way
- Confidence to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions and looks for continuous improvement
- Has new ideas to bring to Wealthsimple and acts without being told what to do
- Honesty and integrity; Doesn't cut corners and does what is right
- The skills to thrive in a dynamic and fast-growing environment
- Experience with funnel analysis, A/B testing, and marketing attribution
- In-depth experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools (such as: Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Apache Superset)
- Excellent SQL knowledge, moving beyond basic SELECT statements to write and debug complex queries
- Working knowledge of data modelling and data warehouse principles
