Financial Planning & Analysis Intern
TLDR
Support financial analysis and strategic initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive decision-making and contribute to Zoox's transformation into a service-oriented operation.
The Zoox Finance team is responsible for managing multiple aspects of our business, including formulation of financial statements and reports, maintaining short and long-term financial models, implementation of tools and processes to support decision-making, financial analysis of strategic initiatives, and much more. Additionally, Finance is one of the main stakeholders in the transformation of Zoox from an R&D-focused technology company to a service-oriented commercial operation.
In this Role, You Will...
Contribute directly to providing financial support to business partners ranging from engineering teams such as Vehicle Development, Advanced Hardware Engineering, and IT and Infrastructure, to operations teams such as Places & Build, Fleet Operations, and People Experience
Be involved in 2-3 high-visibility projects aimed at improving current tools and processes or building new ones to unlock key insights and drive actionable decisions across the company
Work closely with Finance and business partners to truly understand the organization’s needs and gaps and deliver models, dashboards, or reports that help Zoox achieve its near and long-term milestones
Requirements
Working towards a Bachelor's with significant coursework in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Must be returning to school to continue your education upon completing this internship
Good academic standing
Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
Ability to relocate to a city near Foster City, California for the duration of the internship
Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Excel, Google Sheets or similar tools
Highly analytical, with proven ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data, develop insights and recommendations, and transform them into easily understood and compelling presentations
Clear, concise, and professional communication aimed at business partners from individual contributors to executives
Bonus Qualifications
Experience in a corporate environment, working directly with Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Strategy, or other finance or business analyst-related functions
Experience with financial/data analytics tools: Anaplan, SAP, Oracle, Essbase
Experience with financial forecasting
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $7,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
