Firmware Contractors, 6 months contract CH

TLDR

Contract firmware engineer role focused on developing and validating embedded software for silicon with RTOS, hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, JTAG, UART), and CI/CD.

Firmware Engineer (6-month contract) in Lausanne. 3 days on site per week.

We are actively seeking a Firmware Engineer Contractor based in CH.
 
Responsibilities
•    Work to develop, test and maintain embedded firmware for silicon products.
•    Ensuring the robustness of code by implementing and running a software test suite
•    Migration, consolidation and development of existing silicon debug software
•    Software design and support for our silicon design infrastructure

Essential Experience:

  • Strong experience in designing, coding and debugging real-time applications in C and/or C++ in an embedded environment
  • Experience in using or implementing Real-Time scheduler or RTOS (ideally Zephyr OS)
  • Interfacing to hardware and peripherals: SPI, I2C/SMBus, JTAG, UART
  • Debugging at application and hardware level
  • Software validation and verification techniques
  • Ability to develop under different platforms (Linux, Windows)
  • Use of modern SW development workflows (CI/CD with GitLab or GitHub)
  • Independent, self-starter who can help drive the firmware development forward.
  • Experience coding and optimizing low-level drivers


Useful Experience:

  • Python script development for prototyping, test and validation.
  • Experience with systems using multiple MCUs, with FW-to-FW communication and synchronization
  • Hardware interfacing and electronics knowledge
  • Knowledge of RISCV 32-bit processor architecture
  • Knowledge of SerDes technology is a plus
  • Knowledge of signal processing and algorithms is a plus
