Atlassian

Foundation Coordinator

Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

The ideal candidate will bring a “get stuff done” attitude to the role, and the proven track record to complete tasks to a high standard. The Atlassian Foundation has set some exciting goals to see change within our lifetime, and we can’t do it without you, a seasoned and experienced administration connoisseur. You will have a passion for all things philanthropy. Must-have qualities include an excellent ability to prioritise, forward plan, take ownership, join the dots, see the bigger picture and demonstrable out-of-the-box problem solving skills.

Working between the three functional teams of the Foundation (fondly named our Educate, Enlist and Energise teams), you are the kind of person who will go above and beyond because you know your role makes the Foundation hum. You’re crazy about attention to detail, because your mantra is, “It’s the small things that make it possible to achieve the big things”!

In this role, you'll

  • Be the go-to-person for all Foundation Team events and calendars
  • Provide timely responses to all incoming enquiries about the Foundation
  • Maintain both our internal and external Confluence portals (think intranet, meets Wikipedia, meets facebook)
  • Provide continuous updates and improvements to our internal process
  • Own our finance operations (think invoice payments, expenses logging)
  • Drive our data reporting function (e.g. maintaining and reporting on our high-level Foundation stats)
  • Provide grants and governance support as needed
  • Get involved with adhoc special projects as needed

We'd love you to have

  • High "get stuff done" attitude and track record
  • Remote-working experience/proven track record to work independently, as well as in a team, demonstrating ownership and self-sufficiency for admin projects
  • The ability to wear many hats at one time
  • Be able to manage competing responsibilities and deadlines in a timely manner
  • Have intermediate to strong experience in using Excel and Atlassian products
  • The ability to build a good network within Atlassian (esp Atlassian Finance, HR, Legal, Senior Executive Assistants, etc.)
  • Most meaningfully, you are passionate about making a difference and driving the implementation of the Foundation vision and strategy.
