Join us as a Fraud Intern to help protect Qonto's customers as we accelerate our expansion into Italy. You'll handle real fraud cases from day one, manage communications with banks across Europe, and contribute to building the alert systems that keep fraud out. You will report to Andrea, our Fraud Team Lead. Based in Paris or Milan. ➡️ What you'll do Own inter-bank fraud communications: Manage day-to-day email exchanges with other banks to share intelligence, flag suspicious activity, and resolve fraud cases on the Italian market. Handle fraud alerts and cases end-to-end: Treat fraud alerts, analyse onboardings, and monitor client transfers to detect and prevent fraudulent activity. Manage internal requests: Answer requests from Customer Care, Banking Ops, Onboarding, and other internal stakeholders, and collaborate with fraud analysts. Build real operational expertise fast: In 6 months, you'll go from learning the tools to actively contributing to live fraud detection — with growing autonomy as you ramp up. ➡️ What we're looking for Italian & English fluency: You communicate fluently in both — essential for inter-bank communications and supporting Italian customers. Strong written communication: You write clear, professional, structured emails — the kind you'd send to another bank, not a Slack message. Attention to detail and rigour: You notice anomalies, double-check before acting, and stay organised when managing multiple open cases. Genuine curiosity for fraud: You've done your own research into fraud and financial crime, and you're excited to learn by doing in a real operational context.
