About the Role
We are looking for a driven Fraud Investigator to join the Risk team at KOHO.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Fraud Strategy & Operations, this role offers exposure to all types of fraud. It is an important role within our organization, with an opportunity to make a significant impact on fraud management and customer experience.
Please note: we ask for open availability for this position as the working hours will be a mix of weekdays and weekends.
What You'll Do
- You will be responsible for the management of transactional fraud cases reported to KOHO
- You will act as the point of intake from our customer service team for transactional fraud cases reported by our customers
- You will liaise with our chargeback processing partner to ensure that chargebacks are actioned quickly and accurately
- You will investigate fraud cases and take decisions regarding customer reimbursement
- You will log and track fraud and dispute case information to enable accurate reporting and analysis
- You will identify fraud rings and individual accounts engaged in fraudulent behaviour and action appropriately
- You will work with our fraud strategy analyst to develop new strategies to prevent ongoing fraud
- You will work with clients to collect and document information for disputes processing
- You will provide updates to cardholders on the status of their dispute
- You will perform chargeback reconciliation and identify opportunities to improve the win rate
- You will proactively identify and manage fraud cases to prevent future losses
Who You Are
- You have proven experience in Fraud Management within a financial institution
- You have clear and effective verbal/written communication skills
- You have the ability to manage and track multiple priorities
- You have the ability to navigate through difficult situations and make critical decisions based on limited information
- You have strong Excel skills
- You have knowledge of Visa/Mastercard Network chargeback rules
A bonus if you have experience or an interest in any of the following!
- Experience with SQL is an asset
- A CFE designation would be nice to have
