We exist to make “it” possible. At ATB, we put our customers—their needs, goals and dreams—at the centre of everything we do. And we use our talent and technology to help them achieve their “it.” ATB got started in 1938 to help Albertans through tough economic times coming out of the Great Depression. A lot has changed since then but one thing has stayed the same: our unwavering commitment to our customers. We listen, learn, advise and create—through banking, yes, but in other ways, too—to help uplift the lives of Albertans. We're proud of what we do and how we do it. And we're especially proud of the people—our more than 5,000 team members—who help us do it. We wouldn’t be here without our brilliant team members who gave us an engagement score of 91%. This mark tells us our focus on people is the right choice. ATB was named the #1 place to work in the country in 2020 by Great Place to Work® Canada—the first year ATB has been recognized as the top workplace in the nation—and we were the only financial institution to make the top 20. JD Power named ATB the #2 mid-sized bank in Canada in 2019 and we were thrilled to be part of Forbes’ list of World's Best Banks in both 2019 and 2020.
