Frontend Developer/Coach

We are currently seeking a Front-End Developer/Coach to join our Seattle team. In this role, you will help transform a new team, coaching over 20 contract workers, as well as in-house team leads, to improve and streamline their process and uplevel existing teams. You will be responsible for defining the technical vision and execution required to complete the expected deliverables. As a frontend developer and coach, your experience and expertise will provide mentorship to other developers and will be leveraged across projects.
Responsibilities
- Quickly understand our client business requirements and scenarios with the necessary depth to conceptualize designs to ensure projects and solutions satisfy those requirements—active member of project teams from project inception to completion.
- Design, document, and implement solutions.
- Participate in technology selection and make recommendations based on customer business requirements and established constraints.
- Evaluate project opportunities and solution delivery risks to maximize the likelihood of success.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project timelines, budget, and scope management.
- Mentor, manage, and train junior developers.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to be in the office 3 days/week (office located in SODO).
- 5+ years of front-end development experience.
- Experience with Node, React, JavaScript.
- Prior experience coaching or mentoring junior developers.
- Write tech specs and develop framework with the team so they can learn.
- Be able to break down applications into smaller parts and help the team walk through scenarios, end to end.
- Great communication skills.
