Genetic Counselor - Clinical Consultation Services, Reproductive Health

Invitae is seeking a board eligible or board certified genetic counselor to join our clinical team in providing clinical support to clinicians and patients as part of our Clinical Consult Services team. They will be responsible, first and foremost, for providing an excellent customer service experience by being available to customers to answer clinical and technical questions, talk through cases, make recommendations and provide clinically useful information.

This individual is also responsible for maintaining up to date clinical information on the Invitae product offering, which can be provided to clients, and working on other projects to evolve and improve our service and workflows. This position may be performed remotely or based at one of several Invitae offices.

What you will do:

• Point person for client’s clinical inquiries (via phone and email) regarding product offerings and patient results. Current product offerings include, but are not limited to, non-invasive prenatal screening, carrier screening, pre-implantation genetic testing for aneuploidy, and cytogenetic testing. 
• Review genetic test results with patients by telephone
• Review test orders for clinical appropriateness

• Communicate with clients, Invitae sales representatives, and other Invitae team members to ensure an optimal provision of patient and client care

• Participate in or take leadership of particular operations and development projects
• Maintain ABGC certification and appropriate state licensure
• Additional duties as needed

Who you are:

• At least 2 years of clinical genetic counseling experience in reproductive health
• ABGC Board Certification
• Genetic counseling licensure (or ability to obtain licensure) in California
• Excellent organizational and task management skills
• Spanish or Portuguese-speaking is a plus

In Colorado, our competitive compensation package includes a base salary starting from $83,600.00.  In determining the final salary offered, we will evaluate a specific candidate's geographic location, education, skills, and experience.
