About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic leader to serve as Global Managing Director, Marketing & Growth. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for helping to plan and drive the relaunch of Ogilvy Experience, including marketing, growth, business development, analyst relations, and other growth-oriented activities on a global scale. In this role, you will not only serve as Global MD but also North America MD. You will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our marketing strategies, creating building blocks to scale our business, and launching new products and services.
What You’ll Do
Marketing
- Develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and drive demand generation.
- Guide and support reputation and brand building both internally and external working with Marketing leads and Corporate comms to enhance visibility.
- Oversee the creation of compelling marketing collateral, including website content, capability decks, product messaging, presentations, case studies, and whitepapers.
- Implement digital marketing strategies, including social media, content marketing, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and online advertising.
- Align with global teams (NA/EMEA/ASIA/LATAM) to develop consistency in offerings and present a body of work / consistent positioning (focusing on NA initially).
Business Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth, expand market reach, and identify new opportunities.
- Lead, support and/or coordinate RFI & RFP responses as needed.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to drive business growth and foster strategic alliances.
- Lead negotiations for major partnerships, collaborations, and joint ventures to drive revenue and market expansion.
- Create/support key events for brand building, increased visibility and client engagement
Partner Relations / Analyst Relations
- Develop and uncover opportunities within WPP, primarily in specific category working groups.
- Work with Strategic Global Partnerships Leaders across the organization to help identify leads and solidify partner relations.
- Build and nurture relationships with industry analysts and influencers to ensure our company is well-positioned and recognized within the market.
- Engage with analysts to communicate our vision, product roadmap, and competitive differentiation.
- Leverage analyst insights and recommendations to inform marketing and growth strategies.
- Explore or evaluate additional partnerships for content partners, research, prestige, etc.
Growth-Oriented Activities
- Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to drive growth opportunities.
- Lead market research and customer segmentation efforts to identify target markets and develop tailored marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market plans for new products and services.
- Account map with partner leads (both internal leads and external tech leads) to uncover opportunities
- Coordinate with teams globally for growth + reputation building initiatives including award submissions, analyst relations and Analyst submission support (Waves, MarketScapes, Briefings & Audits)
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role in global marketing, business development, or growth-oriented activities.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in driving business growth and delivering results in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a track record of making data-driven decisions.
- Experience in building and leading high-performing teams and strong track record of collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
