YOUR DECATHLON ASSIMILATION PROGRAM JOURNEY

Our Graduate Assimilation Program (18 months) is curated to nurture and develop future leaders designed for sporty and ambitious young talents. You will be given the autonomy to make decisions for your own sport everyday for 8 countries in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region.

THE ASSIMILATION PROGRAM HAS 4 MAIN COMPONENTS:

Supply Chain

You will develop stock optimization policies based on demand and stock flow parameters for good stock rotation.

• Demand & Supply Planning
• Overseas attachment in our regional warehouse located in Malaysia

Category Management

You will have the autonomy to make decisions on your sport and your products. You will also build your network with the other SEA countries.

• To understand market needs across 8 countries in SEA
• Develop pricing strategies for the assortment range

Business Development

You set the SEA direction for your sport.

• Write yearly business plan
• Product assortment strategy for the region

Retail Attachment

To understand our omnicommerce business model

• 1 month store induction with our network of experience or Click & Collect Stores

Requirements

We are looking for:

• University undergraduates or fresh graduates in any discipline with less than 1 year full-time working experience
• Sports lover with a passion for sport!
• Responsible, self-motivated and adaptable in the field of a fast paced/changing environment, with the willingness to go the extra mile
• Driven with an entrepreneurial spirit, dare to challenge, problem solve and take risks
• Possess analytical reasoning, data synthesis and analysis of our products, trends, consumers and Sport
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

<FAQ>

"Am I eligible to apply?"

• Fresh graduates who have graduated in 2022 or graduates in 2021 with less than 1 year full-time working experience are welcome to apply.

"What should I expect to prepare for the case study in Round 2?"

• You will be given the brief beforehand, where you will be expected to present a business trajectory for the sport in the SEA region. This should include 3 slides: Sport market overview, trajectory and strategies to implement.

"Do I need to be a pro in the sport in Round 3?"

• We are looking for future teammates who have our sport values, you do not need to be a professional athlete, it will be a sport bonding session. Please remember to be in your active wear and bring along a set of clothes to change for the interviews at the later part of the day!

"How will the 1-1 interview be like in Round 5?"

• A moment to share with our Decathlon teammates about your motivations and getting to know your authentic self.

"Is there a preferred university major?"

• No, we believe as long as you are willing to learn, we will guide you through. We also have a mix of graduates as well - from Sports Science, Statistics, Business to Physics!

"Will I be able to choose my preferred role?"

• Based on your strengths and preference, you can specialize in either the supply chain or category management function upon completing the 18 month program. Details will be explained in Stage 3.
