Head, Governance Risk and Compliance
To lead and manage the implementation of the Governance, Risk & Control framework for Technology & Operations, South Africa by establishing and maintaining the necessary control processes and escalation paths to adequately control the processes and functions supported within the Technology and Operations Function. To lead, manage & innovate a sustainable technology risk assurance capability tailoring solutions for the portfolio. Develop and maintain the Governance, Risk & Control framework for Technology & Operations, South Africa, covering strategy, policy, process, procedures, standards, guidelines, training, objectives, metrics and governance - to ensure consistency of implementation and the alignment to the changing regulatory and legislative requirements and international best practices and standards.
- First Degree in Business Commerce or Legal or Risk Management
- A post graduate degree in Business Commerce / Risk Management / Legal would be beneficial.
Minimum Experience
- 7 years solid understanding of the regulatory environment as well as the basic principles and objectives of the Bank and the associated risks with specific focus on non-financial risk, Basel II, Regulatory requirements, e.g. money laundering control (FICA, Code of Banking Practice, FAIS, etc.).
- 7 years IT Planning & Control (Governance, Risk, Compliance & Reporting)
- 7 years Proven experience in IT management activities including IT Portfolio delivery planning, investment control and risk identification and management, regulation of statutory reporting, monitoring and managing the required software and hardware licenses.
