The Head of IT Europe is fully responsible for the day-to-day delivery of IT Services and Solutions to the European region.
The Head of IT ensures compliance with corporate standards, the effective deployment of centrally provided corporate services, and the quality of IT service delivery provided by internal teams and outsource partners.
The role is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. There will be a need to travel to the Corporate Head Office in Newark, California, or other regional European Lucid Facilities, as needed.
This role reports to the Managing Director, Europe and will have functional reporting and technology direction from the corporate IT team in United States.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- With guidance from, and standards set by, the United States corporate team; be responsible for the following IT management practices in the Europe.
- IT Infrastructure and Operations management for Corporate functions across offices and retail facilities in Europe
- IT (SG&A) Enterprise systems for Europe – ownership and support
- Information security management
- Program Management and Software Delivery using our corporate platforms – Salesforce, SAP
- Measurement and reporting
- IT Workforce talent management
- IT Supplier management
- Relationship management
- IT Service Management Functions (including but not limited to Availability, Scalability, Capacity and performance management, Release management, Service continuity management, Deployment management)
- IT Helpdesk
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Broad experience across IT functions of Go to Market (GTM), G&A, infrastructure and Operations and cybersecurity.
- Previous experience as an IT manager in a corporate environment or / and experienced service delivery manager
- Experience of governing internal, outsourced and mixed landscape IT Support functions.
- Commercially-minded, data driven business leader
- Experience of delivering IT services across internally and externally (vendor/supplier) driven environments.
- Good general knowledge of IT technologies such as applications, databases, networks and servers.
- A customer service advocate with broad technical experience and a willingness to take a hands-on approach and lead by example as required.
- Experience of IT SLA’s including using them to manage conflicting priorities plus creating live dashboards, service reports, and service improvement plans.
- Follows through on commitments made and persists until agreed tasks are completed, quickly analyzing delays, identifying, and implementing possible solutions or making recommendations for action.
- Proven strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively with peers, end users, and 3rd parties.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. (e.g. GDPR)
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5 to 7 years of leading an IT organization
- Strong background in IT management, as well as experience working in a global IT environment.
- Ability to think logically and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
- Automotive experience a plus.
