Head of Sales - Ireland
The Head of Sales (Ireland) is a key commercial leader for our FREE NOW For Business organisation. You will be accountable for developing, implementing and driving FREE NOW’s growth for corporate, government and hospitality business customers, on a national and international level. You will be managing a high performing team of Inside Sales, Account Management and Customer Success professionals, and oversee the Sales Development (inbound and outbound leads) in Ireland.
The role reports into FREE NOW’s International VP of Sales, with frequent interaction with the rest of the Senior Management Team in Ireland due to the strategic importance of B2B in FREE NOW’s success. The Head of Sales will execute B2B strategies and deliver significant revenue growth, as well as developing, coaching and the team. You will act as Sales’ voice for Ireland, ensuring FREE NOW For Business is well-represented in-market.

Your responsibilities:
- Own, develop and implement strategies for the significant growth of the B2B segments (corporate, government, hospitality, private) in the Irish market
- Develop strategic sales plans to identify, approach and secure key accounts
- Personally lead and attend key sales meetings and leverage your professional network to unlock targeted strategic enterprise accounts
- Utilise sales reporting and KPI dashboard to ensure best-in-class sales performance management
- Train, coach and mentor the team in the identification, approach, acquisition and management of key accounts, ensuring high quality sales pitches
- Build and grow significantly the new sectors within the commercial department, ie with media, law firms and consulting firms
- Own the Ireland B2B strategy and execution of our demand generation programs, focusing on large and extra large accounts/enterprises and strategic partnerships across multiple industries and use cases
- Represent the voice of Ireland-based clients and engage with the German-based Product team to guide product improvements based on your in-depth knowledge of your marketplace
- Represent FREE NOW For Business through attendance, exhibition or speaking opportunities at events, trade shows and conferences locally, nationally and internationally
- Travel to client meetings or events nationwide (eg Cork, Limerick, Galway) or internationally (eg. Hamburg, London, Paris) as required
- Develop and invest in team members ensuring employee engagement and satisfaction is optimized
- Bring an authentic culture unique to your market whilst ensuring it is one of performance, accountability, inclusion and fun.
Your profile:
- 6+ years experience in strategic B2B sales or related experience
- 3+ years previous experience of people management or successfully leading a metrics-driven sales team. Demonstrated Sales management experience, including hiring, developing and driving accountability. Experience with standard Sales KPIs and levers that impact performance.
- You are comfortable working in a super-fast paced environment where new opportunities arise frequently. You need to be able to help, shelter or support your team as appropriate
- You have ideally worked in a tech/digital environment and understand how product, engineering, marketing, sales & operations fit together
- You are a confident self-starter with a bias to action
- You have strong communication skills and gravitas. Comfortable influencing at multiple levels
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; proven ability to work effectively with individual contributors, management and executive leadership
- Proven track-record of unlocking XL accounts, leading complex negotiations and resolving commercial issues
- Ability to transition from big picture strategic thinking to implementation & action
- Ideally you are experienced with or passionate about mobility and will strongly push our new strategic "Mobility Budget" approach while growing our current product portfolio
- Knowledge of sales systems/tools (experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and other core CRM/BI tools is a plus)
