HR Assistant (Maternity leave replacement)

TLDR

Support daily HR operations and documentation to cover maternity leave, handling onboarding, offboarding, records, and policy guidance in a fast-paced team.

We are looking for a proactive and organized HR Assistant to join our HR team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave period. This role will support daily HR operations, employee administration, and internal HR activities, ensuring a smooth and positive employee experience.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR administrative activities
  • Manage employee documentation and maintain HR records updated
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Prepare contracts, declarations, and other HR-related documents
  • Support attendance, vacation, and absence management
  • Coordinate medical appointments and mandatory employee documentation
  • Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with labor legislation and company policies
  • Collaborate with external partners when necessary
  • Previous experience in HR administration or HR support roles
  • Degree or professional training in Human Resources, Management, Psychology, or similar area
  • Good knowledge of Portuguese labor law and HR administrative processes
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Experience with HR software is a plus
  • Fluency in Portuguese and good level of English – French is a plus
