Human Resource Associate

Marton Technologies, Inc (A Panum Group, LLC company), is looking for skilled individuals who are looking to be part of a growing company.

Reporting directly to the HR and Benefits Manager, the Human Resources Associate shall perform duties that are related to the operations of the human resources department for all business locations. The Associate will support benefits plan administration, act as a liaison to support and resolve benefits-related questions, manage I-9 administration, administer compliance training, conduct reference and employee verifications, and support all human resources related projects as requested. The Associate provides administrative support to the human resources function, including record-keeping and file maintenance, HRIS entry and data management, and all other duties as assigned. 

1.      Work with the HR Manager to administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
2.      Record new hire and termination information into HRIS system in a timely manner. Information includes, but is not limited to, personal data, compensation, benefits, and COBRA, etc.
3.      Ensure all new hires are entered in their selected benefits and payroll is notified.
4.      Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons to complete employment verifications and online investigation requests.
5.      Reconcile monthly benefits statements and report discrepancies to HR Manager for review and sign off.
6.      Manage the completion of Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain both physical and electronic I-9 files.
7.      Create employee badges and monitors expiration dates.  Ensures all employees have active badges while onsite and actively employed.
8.      Administer compliance training to all new hires, monitors and administers annual compliance training to active employees, tracks completion rates, and reports noncompliance. 
9.      Maintain employee files, both physical and electronic, to document employment actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.  This includes creating and breaking down records in compliance with record retention best practices.
10.  Maintain compliant employee records, both physical and electronic, for use in employee benefits administration and reporting.
11.  Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation for HR Manager review and administration.
12.  Assist HR Manager with audits of payroll, benefits, and/or other HR programs.
13.  Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
14.  Provide support for departmental projects such as mass onboardings, training & development, layoffs, and other organization-wide activities.
15.  Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
1.      Answer Marton Technologies main phone line and delegate calls as appropriate.
2.      Perform miscellaneous office duties as required.  Keep office space in a clean and publicly presentable condition.
3.      Adhere to required company Ethics Program.
4.      Log-in appropriate hours into the Marton Technologies Timekeeping system at COB each day worked.
5.      Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years related experience required. 
  • SHRM-CP or aPHR certification preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions to internal stakeholders, management, and the general public as needed.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current employment laws.
  • Proficiency in the use of automated office products (e.g. MS WORD, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
  • Basic Knowledge of HRIS (ADP) systems.
