Human Resources Business Partner
Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our People Team to support TSM and Icon Talent Agency. Partnering with the Vice President, People, your work will have a visible impact now and as we grow. As an onsite HRBP, you will guide and support talent management, performance management, career development, employee relations, workforce planning and change management activities. As we continue to grow, you will also assist in building innovative programs to support our teams as they scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Implementing and managing cyclical People programs end-to-end, including performance management, engagement survey, recognition, etc.
- Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of the organization and talent
- Proactively assess business and team performance to recommend and drive action through a consultative, “influence without authority” approach
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and develop solutions in partnership with leadership.
- Coach managers and teams on people strategy, including team structure (organizational design), strategic hiring, performance management, compensation, recognition, and learning and development.
- Play a key change leadership role in the company's transformation by reinforcing a culture of growth, results, and innovation.
- Collaborate with business leaders to build leadership depth and address critical roles/skills needs.
- Consult with and train management on managing performance and conduct.
- Manage employee relations issues and coach managers on how to address each situation.
- Perform complex and comprehensive investigations and provide recommendations to resolve and address issues.
- Be a key contributor to re-imagining or up-leveling company-wide People Programs including our Performance Review process and learning and development initiatives.
What You'll Need to Be Successful
- 6+ years of HR/People experience with 4+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner.
- Solid understanding and exposure in all areas of HR, including Change Management, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Performance Management, Talent & Succession Planning, Leadership Development
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance culture where the business is constantly evolving.
- Possess a strong knowledge of current state and federal employment law.
- Ability to think critically and anticipate issues before they arise, and proactively suggest long-term solutions.
- Demonstrated success in building or enhancing a collaborative work environment; have the capacity to understand people issues impacting the business.
- Have both large, corporate HR experience and start up experience.
- Ability to think both strategically and broadly, but able and willing to take a hands-on, roll-up-your sleeves approach to tackle multiple, competing priorities.
- Demonstrated the ability to plan, organize, implement, and close multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent judgment and the ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage time effectively – seamlessly move between projects and tasks, without losing sight of what's important to do.
- Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets and can turn data into insights.
- Outstanding communication and relationship building skills.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit - you can't remember the last time you said: "that's not my problem".
- You’re passionate about helping and empowering others.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in HR related field with a minimum of 4 years of HR experience
- Interest in esports and gaming
