Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience

We are a young technology led ecommerce fulfilment company, focused on helping online sellers grow their business by providing global fulfilment. We are VC funded and continue to grow at a rapid pace throughout the UK and Europe.

Reporting directly into the CFO but supporting many departments directly the successful candidate will undertake a varied role which will span across Europe. Given the fast growing pace of Huboo there is a core proposition to support the successful candidate in their development into a Leadership/Head of Legal position.

The role will involve working on a wide range of matters, the candidate will need to have the ability and desire to turn their hand to a range of work, and be innovative and creative in their approach.

You will be joining a dynamic team in our offices in central Bristol. We are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm and a desire to learn and succeed.

Key responsibilities for our In-House Legal Counsel:

• Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)
• Collaborate with management to devise efficient legal strategies
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust
• Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to protect the company’s legal rights
• Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and investors
• Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organisation
• Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
• Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation

Requirements

What we look for in our In-House Legal Counsel:

• 4+ years post-qualification experience gained within in-house or private practice
• Commercial/corporate knowledge and experience
• Highly commercial mindset, ability to see and judge the underlying business motivators
• Be able to advise senior management without supervision
• Be able to appropriately judge legal risks against pressure for speed
• Experience of working with external lawyers in multiple jurisdictions
• Exposure to property law is desirable

About us:

Founded in 2017, Huboo was created by e-commerce sellers for e-commerce sellers. Martin Bysh (CEO) and Paul Dodd (CTO) found that the demands and struggles that came with picking, packing, and shipping their products was becoming impossible. They considered outsourcing their fulfilment but could not find a company that allowed them to remain in the driving seat of their growing business.

Paul and Martin soon created Huboo’s unique Hub Model.
